Who I Am
as a person in UX
I love nerding out and getting into the weeds of research.
Over the last several years, I've had the opportunity to practice a myriad of different research methods. What I've observed is that every research method is unique in some way, shape, or form. My favorite part of research is getting to connect the dots with insights and key findings. Thee process of extracting the insights to then communicate back to stakeholders is something that absolutely drives my passion for UX and research.
The granular details of UI design feed my inner organizing passion.
I am an organizing and cleaning nut. Outside of work I love combining this personality trait with UX to help make the smaller things in life easier. How do you best layout and organize a kitchen? It's something I've done my entire life and completely explains my passion for UX. In UI Design, I take a similar approach - I combine my graphic design fundamentals, critical thinking questions, and knowledge of the problem space to best create a design solution.
I thrive in being involved with project from start to finish.
When it comes to a project, I thrive in an environment where I can be involved throughout the entire process. Whatever role I have within that project, I love collaborating with others and helping where I'm needed. I enjoy diversifying my skill set, learning and collaborating with others, and creating impact where I can to help projects succeed.
I love wearing multiple hats in UX.
When it comes to UX, my heart belongs to no specific practice within UX. I thrive in environments where I can spend a month or two doing research and then switch "hats" and collaborate on a design solution or implementation strategy. I love connecting the dots between the practices and really expanding my repertoire so that I can continuously learn and tackle any challenge.
I'm a "need to stay busy" type of person.
Throughout work, life, and all the things in between, I realize that I thrive and create my best work when I'm in a moderately fast-paced environment. Constant engagement, collaboration, and work to get done help me thrive and keep me motivated.
